ENG Week 1 2024
New Years, resolutions! In 2024, my goal is to connect with you through weekly blogs and monthly newsletters. Reflecting on the bustling 2023, Vicky and I are thrilled with our business growth. As a lifelong crafter transitioning from my profession in the community sector, the learning curve has been steep, but the joy of customer interaction and pattern creation keeps us going.
This year, I commit to sharing “what’s under my needle” weekly and unveiling new stock and project ideas in our newsletter. Beyond bag making, my sewing journey includes garment making, curtain crafting, and evolving into a quilter. Together with Vicky, we’ve even published four patterns in Australian magazines, a source of both fun and pride.
Away from bag making, I’m currently working on a Double Wedding Ring quilt and have plans for a striped quilt with my cherished striped fabric collection.
Excitingly, we’ve just finalized our first bag pattern – the Clytus Tote, featuring a zippered top and overlay pockets, perfect for showcasing large prints.
This is a group shot of the Five Clytus Totes we have made, followed by the special Christmas one I carried all of December and finally my Tula Pink Ever Glow version.
For a limited time the pattern for the Clytus Tote is selling for $10, this will change early in the year to our regular price $15.

Behind the scenes, there’s more in the pipeline, including a hand sewing storage case, a snap frame coin purse, and a crossbody bag. While these are background tasks, I’ll keep you updated every Monday with this chatty blog. Join Vicky and me in our sewing journey – let’s make 2024 creatively spectacular!
