Sewing & construction tips
- Needle: Use a sharp or microtex needle (80/12–90/14) depending on your machine, a jeans needle (80/12–90/14)

- Foot: A Teflon/non-stick foot or walking foot helps feed the vinyl smoothly.
- Fastening: Use clips instead of pins to avoid permanent holes.
- Interfacing: For more structure, add thin foam, woven interfacing or other stabilisers to body panels. Avoid bulky layers by keeping your heavier stabilisers out of your seam allowance.
- Edge finishing: Edge paint, or folded binding create a clean finish.
- Test first: Always try stitches and adhesives on a scrap to confirm tension and appearance.
